Hailing from Virginia, ÜGA BÜGA fuses the weight of Mastodon, Soundgarden , High On Fire, and The Mars Volta into something all their own. The music comes with fantastical tales of hog men, sinister wizards, and dual-wielding warriors tearing across apocalyptic wastelands on motorcycles. It's pure TMNT, Dragon Ball, and classic-comics energy.

Their 2024 debut Year of the Hog landed on the Doom Charts. Their 2026 follow-up, Valley of the Wolf, got premieres and coverage from Invisible Oranges, BrooklynVegan, and Metal Injection. It pushed the band past 34,000 monthly Spotify listeners, with a following growing fast in Canada.

With over 300 shows across the eastern U.S. since 2022, ÜGA BÜGA has become a sonic outlier. They've shared stages with Whitechapel, Inter Arma, Nothing More, Darkest Hour, Castle Rat, King Buffalo, Nekrogoblikon, SpiritWorld, and Weedeater. They've played festivals including Does It Doom's Seismic Summer Fest, Doomed and Stoned Fest, Raleigh Metal Fest, Delaware Terror Fest, and Legalize Lex. They've also toured Japan, captured on the Live in Japan release. Back home, they put on their own six-band Mini Büga Fest. Fans throw countless labels at them, but the verdict never changes: unique and heavy.

Formed in 2021, ÜGA BÜGA locked in their lineup in late 2022 with Calloway Jones (vocals/guitar), Niko Cvetanovich (bass), and Jimmy Czywczynski (drums). That's the trio behind the massive sound of Year of the Hog and Valley of the Wolf.
